Building stronger entrepreneurial ecosystems through innovation, technology, investment, and sustainable development across emerging markets.
Asif Ahnaf's journey began not in a boardroom, but in a belief — that emerging markets hold the world's greatest untapped entrepreneurial potential, and that the right ecosystems could unlock it.
Growing up in Dhaka, Asif developed a fascination with systems — how supply chains work, how communities organize, how technology could bridge the gap between ambition and opportunity. His Chemistry degree from the University of Dhaka sharpened his analytical thinking, but his heart was drawn to entrepreneurship.
"I didn't just want to build one company. I wanted to build the environment that makes thousands of companies possible."
That vision crystallized when Asif co-founded AponZone, an agri-commerce platform connecting rural farmers to urban markets — one of Bangladesh's earliest digital supply chain experiments. The experience taught him that technology alone wasn't enough; policy reform, ecosystem infrastructure, and founder education had to come together.
This realization led him to help found the e-Commerce Association of Bangladesh (e-CAB) — the country's premier industry body for digital commerce. As a founding director, Asif worked directly with the Government of Bangladesh, World Bank, UN Women, and UNDP to shape the policy environment for e-commerce, champion women entrepreneurs, and connect Bangladeshi SMEs to global trade networks.
Today, through BreakBite Ventures, Asif operates a multi-vertical platform that builds businesses across digital commerce, communications, technology intelligence, and agri-sourcing. As an angel investor, he backs early-stage founders with not just capital but strategic access, mentorship, and ecosystem connections.
He has supported 6,000+ startups and SMEs, represented Bangladesh at international trade forums in Dubai, the UK, and Nepal, and continues to champion AI adoption, digital transformation, and sustainable development as pillars of economic progress across South Asia.
